The BACC is Northeast Shelby County’s largest business membership organization. It is comprised of more than 600 members who represent a broad array of industries and professions within a market population of 265,000.

John Threadgill
President & CEO

As BACC’s President and CEO since 2006, John began his career in Nashville doing international recruitment of capital investment with the state of Tennessee. From 1990 to 2006 he led the international program for the Greater Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce where he eventually became Chief Administrative Officer. At the BACC, John remains focused on economic development by bringing in new companies and helping expand existing businesses in the Bartlett area. John graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a BA in Economics and an MA in Finance. John is a history buff who enjoys hiking, camping and kayaking.

Pierce Cannon
Director of Membership & Community Development

As a native for the last 35 years, Pierce is passionate about Bartlett. Pierce is a Cum Laude Graduate from The University of Memphis, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and was an Emerging Leader Scholarship Recipient. As Community & Membership Development Director, Pierce will be maintaining and growing the Chamber’s Membership. He will connect the members through networking and business events. Pierce will also be working directly with the Chamber’s Ambassadors with a focus in building relationships and strengthening the Chamber’s footprint as a local business supporter. Pierce’s greatest motivation and accomplishment is his family. He and his wife Stephanie have 3 beautiful children with their fourth child due in October.

Kathy Carl
Director of Operations

As Director of Operations, Kathy is responsible for making the chamber run smoothly and efficiently. She directs and manages the Bartlett Station Farmers Market as well as the annual BACC Business Expo, Holiday Heroes, and the Bartlett Christmas Market. In addition to serving as liaison for the Chamber Board of Directors, she’s a member of the Kiwanis Club and sits on the board of the Bartlett Education Foundation.

Kathy lives in Bartlett with her husband Rusty, two dogs and two cats. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandkids.

Deborah Camp
Marketing Specialist

Deborah assists in the marketing and publicizing of chamber events, products and publications. She also writes and serves as editor for the chamber’s annual Insights Magazine. Deborah is the retired owner of a small data research and marketing firm she owned and operated for 24 years while teaching graduate classes in entrepreneurship at Webster University. She’s an award-winning writer with more than 800 articles published in magazines, journals, newspapers, and online publications. She’s a native Memphian who is married to Michael Correll.

Skye Fowler
Project Specialist

Skye helps plan and execute major chamber events including the annual Business Expo, Barty Awards and Christmas Market, among others. As a Bartlett resident she is actively engaged in community affairs—serving on the PTO Board of Altruria Elementary School, and volunteering her time on events with Bartlett Baptist Church. She and her husband Josh have a daughter and two dachshunds. As a family they enjoy camping and kayaking—as well as visiting museums and aquariums, and trying out new restaurants.

Lyn Whitson
Community Development Specialist

Lyn Whitson is a Michigan native who has been in the Memphis area for ten years. Lyn has a background in marketing and advertising. She retired from the Bartlett Express after working 40 years in print media. Lyn is the Market Manager for the Bartlett Station Farmers Market. Lyn also works at the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce in Community Development. She enjoys working on the Chamber special events: Christmas Market, Golf, Business Expo, etc.

Gabrielle Brooks
Communications Manager

Gabrielle serves as the Communications Manager for the chamber with over seven years of experience in the industry. A native of the Bartlett area, she has honed her expertise in strategic communications, development, and digital marketing. She has successfully led numerous campaigns, enhancing brand visibility and audience engagement for a variety of organizations. Gabrielle’s understanding of the local community, combined with her professional insight, allows her to craft compelling messages that resonate with diverse audiences.

She holds a BA in political science from the University of Memphis.

John Churchill
COO, TechEd2Go

John creates partnerships with businesses, non-profits organizations, and school districts to help connect the emerging workforce to educational pathways leading to lucrative opportunities in high demand technical fields. After retiring from a 20-year career in the Navy, John worked with Fortune 500 companies such as Nabisco and Kimberly Clark. From there he transitioned into corporate training and continuing education with Southwest Tennessee Community College.

Bernadette Fuller
Solutions Consultant, UTCIS

Bernadette Fuller is a seasoned well rounded business professional with extensive experience in people leadership, quality and business operations. Driven by her passion to help small and medium size companies and the people of Tennessee create and realize their value propositions, she takes pride in providing the best consultative services possible. She is willing to meet clients where they are in their journey to success. It is an honor and pleasure to serve the people in the State of Tennessee.

Chris Locke
GMMDC Executive Director

Chris is a 27-year veteran of the health care industry serving in various hospital executive leadership roles over his tenured career. He most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett in Memphis, part of the Tenet Health System. Chris also served as Chief Operating Officer of Atlanta Medical Center and Spading Regional Medical Center during his 16 year career with Tenet and was a three-time winner of Tenet's distinguished Circle of Excellence award for outstanding quality, financial and operational performance.

He holds a Master's Degree in health administration from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri and a BA in psychology from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.

Susan Wilson
Project Manager for Greater Memphis Medical Device Council

As Project Manager for the GMMDC, Susan connects with high school students interested in pursuing careers in the fast-growing medical device industry. In addition to speaking to groups, presenting at career fairs and conducting tours of medical device companies, she also assists the GMMDC Board with projects. She earned a BS in Organizational Leadership. Susan retired with 22 years from SW Tennessee Community College, and currently serves on Southwest’s Mechanical Engineering Advisory Board, among others. Susan also manages the Wilson Blueberry farm, and enjoys making jams and other blueberry delights.
